January 2024 Sports Calendar: Trophy Hunting
2024 is poised to start with a bang with an abundance of tournaments and games all around the globe.

College football will crown a new champion on Monday, January 8 when the top two teams in the nation battle for supremacy at NRG Stadium in Houston. Although the matchup has yet to be determined, NCAAF odds strongly suggest the Michigan Wolverines will tangle with the Texas Longhorns in what could be a case of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Texas ranks ninth in the nation in total offense while Michigan ranks second in total defense.
The CFP national championship game is just one of dozens of must-see events from a jam-packed month. Sports fans can also look forward to the NHL Winter Classic at T-Mobile Park, the Australian Open in Melbourne, and UFC 297 in Toronto.
