Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and thanks to his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life. Whether dominating on the gridiron as a college football star, fighting in Vietnam or captaining a shrimp boat, Forrest inspires people with his childlike optimism.

But one person Forrest cares about most may be the most difficult to save — his childhood love, the sweet but troubled Jenny (Robin Wright).

Boys & Girls Club Artist Reception

The Goshen Theater’s Visual Arts Series returns in 2024 with its first reception, this time hosting the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County.

Join young artists from the club as they show off their artwork from throughout the year.

The art will be available for viewing during box office hours noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday or during any public event.

Elling’s voice is instantly recognizable, embracing listeners with his warm, rich baritone and navigating the full span of his four-octave range as a virtuoso improviser and a compelling storyteller. The Guardian (UK) has named Elling, “a kind of Sinatra with superpowers,” and, “one of jazz’s all-time great vocalists.”

Art House 24/7 Play Festival

Join Art House at the Goshen Theater for this annual celebration of theater.

Seven writers will gather on Friday to create seven original short plays, and then on Saturday morning seven directors and 14 actors will receive the scripts and rehearse throughout the day.

Performances begin at 8 p.m. for all seven short plays.

‘The Servant of Two Masters’ By Carlo Goldoni

Goshen Theater will host Goshen Junior High School students in a performance of ‘The Servant of Two Masters’ By Carlo Goldoni. The show is adapted and translated by Lance Davis and further with further adaptions by Goshen Junior High students, past and present. It is directed by Angela Stoltzfus

In the story the zany — and chronically hungry — servant Truffaldino makes a plan to double his wages, and his meals, by serving two masters at once; one of his ‘masters’ is a lady in disguise, and the other master is her boyfriend, but Truffaldino doesn’t know this. Identities are mistaken, engagements are broken, and love is revived in this brilliant example of the Commedia dell’Arte style. The Servant of Two Masters has been entertaining global audiences for over 250 years.

A goodwill offering will be accepted at the door. Suggested donation is $3 per person.
