2024-25 Union school calendar approved
The Union R-XI Board of Education has approved a 2024-25 school calendar with four days off near the end of the school year.
District Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mike Mabe, who will take over as the district’s top official in July, said the largest sticking point in making the calendar was the Easter break, which falls nearly a month after the second semester break in the 2023-24 school year. Some wanted a full week off.
