Every new Skoda coming to Australia in 2024

The Czech subsidiary of Volkswagen is preparing for its busiest-ever year for new model launches in Australia. Here’s everything that’s coming, from performance cars to electric SUVs.

Skoda is due to introduce its first electric car alongside a fleet of updates and new generations for its petrol-powered range by the middle of next year.

Following long periods of slowed production due to stock shortages during the pandemic – and delays for key models – the company is set to make 2024 its busiest year for all-new models, facelifts or new variants since it returned to Australia in 2007.

Among them is Skoda’s first electric vehicle, the Enyaq mid-size SUV, which is now due in showrooms in October 2024 – slightly later than the July 2024 previously announced – pending any delays.

It is planned to be offered in at least two model grades – a regular 210kW rear-wheel-drive version, and the high-performance 250kW all-wheel-drive RS – twinned with the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5, which are estimated to cost from around $77,000.

Skoda Australia says the Enyaq will play a key role in helping it meet upcoming emissions standards for new cars, as many of its petrol-powered models exceed their CO2 targets, despite using small turbocharged engines.

Three new variants launched in the first three months of the year at the lower end of its model range – the Kamiq Run-Out, Karoq base model and Octavia Sportline – will be followed by a run-out deal on the Kodiaq Sportline imminently.

Due in June and July respectively are facelifts for the Kamiq small SUV and Scala small hatchback – with revised styling and new technology – as well as an entry-level version of the Fabia city hatch in July.

The October arrival of the Enyaq is planned to be followed by the facelifted Octavia mid-size sedan and wagon, as well as the new-generation Kodiaq seven-seat SUV, in November.

Due between January and March 2025 will be the new-generation Superb large sedan and wagon – with a 195kW 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as standard – as well as a new Kodiaq RS from April to June.

Skoda Australia has expressed interest in a new range of electric cars planned for launch in Europe by 2026 – including a wagon, and a seven-seat SUV – but none are locked in for local showrooms.

The estimates listed below have been supplied by Skoda Australia, and are correct as of the start of April 2024 – so may be subject to unforeseen delays at a later date.
