2025 World Challenge Europe Calendar Revealed
The 2025 World Challenge Europe calendar has been revealed today at the annual Spa 24 Hours press conference.
It features 10 rounds and two Prologue tests, with the ‘blue-riband’ Spa 24 Hours the focal point of the season in June.
There is one TBC on the Endurance Cup list at the end of the season. This slot is expected to be filled by a return to Saudi Arabia for a race on the Jeddah Street circuit.
However, Stephane Ratel, the founder of SRO, explained at the conference that a final decision on the venue for the finale will come after the inaugural meeting in Jeddah this year.
“It remains TBC because with our Saudi friends we have decided to look and assess with the teams the success of this year’s event, before deciding if we will return the year after,” he explained.
“We believe we will return, we believe it will be a success but it’s good we run this one first before deciding jointly for next year. We have two dates, one in Europe and one in Jeddah should we return.”
The Sprint Cup meanwhile, has a different look and feel for 2025 with Zandvoort and Valencia returning, replacing the events scheduled for this year at Hockenheim and Magny Cours.
Clashes with the FIA World Endurance Championship have been avoided for the second year in a row, although three clashes with the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship do exist.
The Paul Ricard season opener is on the same weekend as IMSA’s Long Beach round, whilst Valencia and Barcelona overlap with the final two WeatherTech Championship events at Indianapolis and Petit Le Mans, both of which are Michelin Endurance Cup rounds.
