The first day of school for CMS is Monday, August 26, 2024.

Early and middle colleges: Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6, 2024 

Elementary schools and pre-K-8 schools: Thursday, August 22, 2024

Early Release Days

These dates will be early release days for CMS students. 

Wednesday, September 25, 2024 Wednesday, October 30, 2024 Wednesday, February 26, 2025 Wednesday, April 2, 2025 School closures

CMS will be closed on these dates during the 2024-2025 school year:

Monday, September 2, 2024 – Labor Day October 3-4, 2024 – CMS staff workdays November 4-5, 2024 – CMS staff workdays Monday, November 11, 2024 – Veterans’ Day November 27- 29, 2024 – Thanksgiving break December. 23, 2024 – January 3, 2025 – winter break Monday, January 20, 2025 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day Friday, January 24, 2025 – CMS staff workday Monday, February 17, 2025 – CMS staff workday Monday, March 31, 2025 – CMS staff workday April 14 – 21, 2025 – spring break Monday, May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day Other important academic dates

First quarter ends on November 1, 2024.

Second quarter ends on January 23, 2025.

Third Quarter ends on March 28, 2025.

The last day of school is June 10, 2024.
